Call for Papers

Building on the collective success of IPBA’s previous conferences (London 2016, Swansea 2017, Macao 2018, Volos 2019, Barcelona 2021, Aix-en-Provence 2022, and Helsingborg 2023), the 8th IPBA conference will be held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The conference is hosted by Chulalongkorn Business School.

 

The conference aims to bring together scholars, practitioners and students of place branding and related fields (nation branding, public diplomacy, city branding, country branding, destination branding). It is the main vehicle to advance the aims of the International Place Branding Association, which include providing a forum for the exchange of ideas around the theory and practice of place branding, linking the members of the international place branding community in a beneficial manner, bringing scholars and practitioners closer together and advancing the professionalisation of the field.

Registration rates are in Thai Baht (THB) and payable via Visa, Mastercard, or bank transfer.

Please note that

  • Registrations are done individually and online only by credit card or bank transfer.

  • Bank transfer must be made at least 10 days before the event, otherwise the registration will be cancelled.

  • Refund policy: 50% refund of registration fee will be given if a written notification of cancellation is received 30 days prior to the conference start date. Request for refunds will not be honored after this time.
